Oscar Pontén is nominated for best production design.
With sorrow in his voice and a dark expression on his face, Haider a 42-year-old Iraqi refugee tells the story of his imprisonment under the rebelion in 1991. Saddam Hussein had just surrendered and left a war-dismantled country on its knees. It is a rear phenomenon that a documentary is nominated for bedst production design, but Oscar Ponténs precise and minimalistic design in Slip Mine Hænder communicates beautifully the most important elements in the memory-film about a mans imprisonment.
